Followers Theory/Explanation

Well I’ve been away transferring my PC from Windows Vista to Windows 8.1 in hopes of a smoother operation, my previous OS was bogging down pretty bad.  Since then I’ve received a ridiculous amount of followers without even having streamed.  The reason for this I’m positive is someone trying to get me banned from Twitch by using botting methods to put a ton of followers towards my channel at a ridiculous rate.  I’m a bit alarmed by this and hope that if I am flagged I will be able to explain myself.

If you check out my Twitter you can see a few interactions with a streamer that I have watched grow exponentially by botting methods and have called him out about it and reported him several times.  I don’t see anyone else with that ability doing that to me so I can only assume it is him.

Time will tell if anything happens.  If not then I guess I’ll just have a weird follower/viewer to ratio for a while.  I suppose it doesn’t really matter since they’re not real users and they wont watch me anyway but it’s annoying because I’ll no longer know my real amount.  It’s unfortunate but it just goes to show how big of a problem this kind of stuff really is on Twitch.  It’s a bit scary to be honest.

Thanks for reading!  Later folks.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag – Real Borderless Window

For some odd reason there isn’t a standard borderless window mode in AC4.  It’s also very difficult to find a workaround to this solution.  The typical programs that force borderless window successfully in most games just doesn’t work here.  After a bit of digging I was able to find the solution:

WinExplorer

It’s very simple.  Download and install the program.  Boot up AC4.  Alt+Tab and boot up WinExplorer.  You’ll be presented with a list of currently running windows.  In this list scroll down and find Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.  Click on this application.  Below the list you’ll see a set of tabs, click on the “Style” tab.  It will look something like this:

You’re going to want to check the boxes labelled “WS_DISABLED” and “WS_CHILD”.  It will now look like this:

AC4BW

Your game will not be in borderless window mode!  Enjoy!

Why Is My Damn FPS So Low? (In Skyrim)

Why does my GTX 660 get low FPS in Skyrim?

  • Streaming itself seems to kill about 10-12 FPS
  • An ENB seems to kill about 6-8 FPS

I’ve tested a completely vanilla install and only managed to get around ~30 FPS while streaming.

So slap on about 165 mods and an ENB and I’m left with around ~15 FPS.

This is pretty unfortunate but there isn’t much that I can think to do.

My CPU and GPU don’t ever appear to be that stressed and my RAM is fine as well, so I’m not sure why I don’t get more FPS than this.

If you have encountered this problem before or might know of a remedy, please share!!

In the semi near future I plan to do a new operating system install, with an updated operating system (Vista atm)(yes old).  I’ve heard this can fix problems such as this and hopefully when I’m able to do this, this may remedy the problem.

Thanks!

Why Am I Not Playing Requiem Anymore?

I have never finished the Dragonborn DLC and have never even started the Dawnguard DLC.  While playing Requiem it became very clear that I would not be able to get to this content for a very, very long time and I really, really want to get to this content.

I also hadn’t been able to flush out a character on the first Skyrim Redone install that I did.  I had been using Nexus Mod Manager and once I discovered Mod Organizer it became very clear that I was going to have to re-install everything and start from scratch.  The program is just that good.  I could have probably kept going as things were relatively stable but I really wanted to sink my teeth into the program.

So for the time being I will be playing a t3nd0’s Skyrim Redone play-through (Pure Mage).  Once that is completed I may choose to start playing another game for a while, as there are many many games that I have on the back-burner that I would like to get to.  But I feel I owe it to all my Skyrim followers to at least flush out one play-through before I jump ship and switch to another game for a while.
